Dream
I am a character in a Hunger Games-esque novel--perhaps the sequel? (But isn't the series already over?) I look through the eyes of the main character, presumably her sister and lover and members of her team (close friends, or similar dynamic to the Catching Fire allies) are present. Every day there is a disaster (crumbling walls, Inception/Paprika-esque falling buildings) and the characters choose not to hide from danger; it seems that the only way to escape this world is to "jump" to the next--by dying in the current one. The characters' fate is unknown as days of disaster and death ensue--their only wish is to live a simple life but is this wish granted? The outlook is bleak.
